Welcome to a growing community of professionals in credentialing, committed to transforming Puerto Rico’s healthcare system from the inside out.
It’s time to broaden our understanding of who healthcare providers truly are.
Beyond white coats and exam rooms, there exists a vital group of professionals — credentialing delegates, coordinators, compliance officers, and administrative teams — who ensure that providers can work, institutions can operate, and patients can access the care they need.
Without them, nothing happens. And it’s time we understand that.
EduKonnekt is not just an education program — it is a living, action-driven initiative designed to bring practical training, operational stability, and system-wide alignment to Puerto Rico’s healthcare sector.
We address the real gaps that exist in professional development by offering structured learning, real-case problem-solving, and tailored training that supports the implementation of Credentialing and Privileges in Puerto Rico, Law 73 and beyond.
The Domino Effect: Strengthening the Healthcare System from Within
Healthcare doesn’t begin at the moment of care — it begins long before, through the operational professionals who make access possible.
EduKonnekt was created to support the individuals who are essential to the functioning of Puerto Rico’s healthcare system but have often been overlooked: credentialing delegates, coordinators, billing teams, insurance representatives, and administrative staff. These professionals play a critical role in ensuring that providers can work, institutions can operate, and patients can receive uninterrupted care.
How It All Works — and Why It Matters
Credentialing is the process that validates a provider’s qualifications and authorizes them to deliver services under insurance networks. This step is essential before billing can occur. If a provider is not credentialed correctly or on time, they can’t bill for their services — which creates delays, revenue loss, and gaps in patient care.
Credentialing delegates and coordinators are responsible for gathering, submitting, and updating a provider’s documentation through the OCS platform. They must work closely with credentialing representatives at insurance companies, who verify this information across different business lines (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare). If there’s a breakdown in communication or a delay in any step, the provider’s ability to practice and get paid is directly impacted.
These professionals must also coordinate with internal teams — including billing departments, medical directors, and compliance officers — to ensure contracts are submitted accurately and on time.
When the System Fails, So Do Patients
When credentialing is delayed or mismanaged:
Providers face interruptions in income
Institutions experience financial losses
Insurance networks become outdated
Patients struggle to access care or are forced to wait
This is not just an administrative issue — it’s a patient care issue. That’s why EduKonnekt exists.
At EduKonnekt, we offer a specialized education program designed to train healthcare entities, clinics, 330 centers, IPAs, and the delegates responsible for managing the credentialing process.
Our curriculum is fully aligned with Law 73-2023 and the requirements established by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OCS) in Puerto Rico.

EduKonnekt was born from a simple but powerful truth: not all professionals in healthcare wear white coats — but they all matter.
For years, the operational backbone of Puerto Rico’s healthcare system has gone without formal training or recognition. From credentialing delegates to compliance officers and administrative staff, these professionals have carried the weight of the system without structured education, often learning through mistakes, guesswork, or isolation. educacion en credenciales credentialing in healthcare healthcare education.
EduKonnekt provides practical, real-world education tailored to their unique roles — not through theory, but through real cases, interactive workshops, and live problem-solving. Our platform launched with a bold mission: to implement Law 73 and professionalize the credentialing process across the island. But we’re not stopping there.
This is just the beginning of a larger vision to transform continuing education, economic development, and the way Puerto Rico supports its healthcare talent — from the inside out.
EduKonnekt offers specialized programs designed for the professionals who make healthcare happen. These roles have often lacked access to formal education — until now. Each group we serve plays a vital part in stabilizing, streamlining, and sustaining the healthcare system across the island.
Credentialing Delegates & Coordinators
The individuals responsible for managing provider applications, documentation, and credentialing compliance — often without formal training or access to standard protocols.
Their role in the industry:
Delegates act as liaisons between providers and insurance companies. They prepare and submit credentialing packets, update directories, and ensure that providers remain in-network and in compliance. They often learn on the job, yet are expected to master highly technical and legally binding processes.
Why EduKonnekt supports them:
We provide structured training, certification, and real-world exercises so Delegates and Coordinators can elevate their roles and confidently represent providers in a complex system.
Physicians and Medical Students
Licensed physicians and medical students in their final year preparing to enter Puerto Rico’s healthcare system as providers.
Their role in the industry:
Doctors must go through a formal credentialing process to bill insurance and legally provide care under various plans (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial). Many experience delays due to lack of understanding of what’s required.
Why EduKonnekt supports them:
We train doctors and future providers on everything from obtaining their credentialing documents through the OCS platform and PEP Enrollment System — so they can start seeing patients and getting paid without unnecessary delays.
Clinical Institutions & Insurance Companies
Hospitals, clinics, health centers, and insurance carriers responsible for overseeing credentialing, managing provider networks, and ensuring legal compliance.
Their role in the industry:
These organizations must collect and verify credentialing documentation, manage network adequacy, and ensure providers are properly onboarded — often across multiple insurance lines (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial). When done poorly, it creates billing issues, network gaps, and compliance risks.
Why EduKonnekt supports them:
We help institutions create efficient internal credentialing departments, train their staff, and align their processes with Law 73 and OCS regulations. For insurance companies, we support centralized, compliant systems to reduce penalties and improve network visibility.
Healthcare Affiliates (Non-MD Professionals)
Licensed healthcare professionals who are not physicians — such as physical therapists, psychologists, dietitians, speech-language pathologists, optometrists, and other allied health providers.
Their role in the industry:
These professionals also need to be credentialed in order to provide reimbursable care. Yet many are unaware of the process or rely on third parties to manage it without visibility.
Why EduKonnekt supports them:
We provide step-by-step guidance, continuing education, and credentialing literacy so affiliates can take control of their practice, avoid revenue disruptions, and fully integrate into the healthcare system.
We support support government agencies by offering education that promotes system-wide alignment with public policy, enhances oversight, and strengthens workforce development within healthcare operations.
Your organization can bring EduKonnekt’s program to your team, your region, or your institution.
Whether you're part of a hospital, insurance company, government agency, or professional association — you can partner with us to deliver hands-on, credentialing-focused education where it’s needed most.
